1. Quality - rock solid and heavy

- The Mighty-Mate pumps water out fast and you can hear the power, but it has a very low noise level. With a quiet check valve you really will not notice it is even running because the greatest noise happens when the pump shuts off and the water runs back down the discharge pipe hitting the check valve flapper. A quiet check valve lessens the noise because it controls the shutting of the swing check valve gate.

- We installed the M53 primary submersible in 2005 which at the time of this publishing is 12 years ago. The quality of the pump is superb. Its cast iron weight keeps it stationery in the basin during heavy rainstorms. To date we have only replaced the float switch once which was easy to do. Fortunately it did not happen during a heavy rainstorm.
