We installed our Zoeller M53 in 2005. The switch has been replaced once. The pump still works perfectly after 18 years.
As you can see the Zoeller M53 comes highly endorsed by many consumer groups.
We truly believe you will not be disappointed with the Zoeller M53 Sump Pump. It is built to last, is made from heavy, quality materials, acts as a work horse, is easy to install, comes tested from the factory, comes with a three year warranty and is competitively priced.
When we first installed our Zoeller M53 we were surprised.
- The M53 is heavy. We like the weight because during heavy rainstorms it stays in place. We have owned other brands and they move during continuous pumping.
- The float switch guard is made of strong stainless steel and it is larger than brands we had owned. This float guard keeps the float font hanging up on the basin wall.
- The pump runs quiet. We discovered that our check valve was causing water hammer so installed a quiet check valve. The quiet check valve makes a lot of difference and it lasts so much longer.
- After nine years we changed the float switch. Buying the entire switch cap which already included a new switch was the easiest way to replace ours.
- To learn about the M53 we have talked with Zoeller customer support several times. They are very helpful and willing to answer our questions.
