    • Each pump has a dual float-switch. If one fails the second one begins to operate.
    • The floats are housed in a cage to prevent obstruction.
    • The float-switch cage is external to the pump so it can be replaced without removing the pump from the sump pit.
    • The owner determines the height at which to attach the float-switch cage to the discharge pipe; thus the frequency at which the pump operates is adjustable.
